A vintage 9ct Gold 'Mad Money' £1 Note Charm, very typical of the 1960s when money charms were hugely popular.
 
This is a very nice decorative example, containing a folded £1 note that in theory could be used in an emergency (in the days when £1 still bought, say, a taxi ride home).  
 
The closure is very secure.  The charm is unmarked and tests as 9ct gold.
