A vintage 9ct gold Emergency Money £5 note charm, inscribed on the bottom with the message “In Emergency Break Glass”.
Money charms such as these were very popular in the 1960s and early 1970s, more typically containing a 10-shilling note or £1 note. This one has a crisp £5 note inside that in 1970 could certainly have bought you a taxi ride home, and probably a fish and chip supper on the way!
This is a very simple and elegant charm, with nice clean lines. It is fully hallmarked for London 1974 and is in good condition.
Comes with a jump ring ready to attach to your bracelet.
